It has been a while, but I’m back with a big update. I have been busy working over at Divide by Zero Studios on the game Vector Storm; you can read more about it over at the website. As for Emerald I’ve been working hard updating the game and making it better. But before I go into that, I want to bring up something you may have noticed.Tribe Games Logo

The website has changed! In honor of this restoration, I improved the websites design starting with the new logo. It’s much cleaner yet still giving that edgy look. I also updated the background along with the logo, keeping things fresh. I’m always trying to improve on the website, that tends to mean that I have to change the website’s design (sometimes more often than I would like). Bear with me as this is only temporary.

Emerald has come a long way since the last update. It now has a logo! A simple logo, an emerald with the word emerald, but I still think it looks slick. Along with the logo I also upgraded the interface with a fade in menu you can see it at the bottom of this post. I have rebuilt the game engine; the performance is better. The fluidity of the game is much smoother and flat-out runs faster. I also will be adding a page at the top of the website specifically for Emerald and all of the games Tribe Games makes.

The final thing I worked on was a new character: Shade.

Shade is an adventurous person, ready to face almost anything. She puts all of her emeralds in her backpack.

I wanted to, in terms of personality, make her a strong individual. I think I conveyed that fairly well with her stance in the pic. She is much more detailed in the way of her clothing: she has her own symbol and a signature color of purple. I also wanted to make her eyes purple; it gives her a more mysterious look. If you look at this picture then look at Alex you might notice that their style of art don’t really fit nicely. I wanted to change-up the style of the game. So expect to see a newer version of Alex in later posts.

That about wraps up all of the updates I have for you at this time. I will update this more regularly as I’m splitting the workload of the two games more efficiently now. As always if you anything to say on anything in this post, you can post it in the comment section.
