Hello all!

It has been over 10 months since I last worked on anything Tribe Games. I have been on other projects so I haven’t been on focusing on the thing that I started in the first place, Tribe Games. I don’t regret working on the those projects, they really taught me a lot of valuable things that I can use in the future both in terms of games and the company itself. But I think it’s time to reinvigorate this site.

What about Emerald?

Well… the thing is… after I decided to come back to Tribe Games I looked at the project and didn’t have the drive to finish it. It now has 10 month old code on it which isn’t fun to go back to. Also I don’t want to give you guys a terrible product because of my lack of interest. So as it stands now, Emerald is suspended. It’s not a fun thing for me to say, but I think it’s the right thing for me to do. Now this doesn’t mean that I am going to completely abandon it (hence the “suspended” part). I may remake the game later with an updated engine and graphics. But for now I think it’s time to work on something new.

Well, if there is no more Emerald then what is next?

That’s another thing… I’m not too sure on what I will be making next yet. That is liberating and terrifying at the same time. I have all of this freedom to work whatever I feel like, but at the same time… I have the freedom to work on whatever I feel like. WHAT SHOULD I WORK ON? I will be using the blog to show off what I’m working on and prototyping through the coming weeks. That includes screenshots, videos, art, even music (and possibly DEMOS! … I know right). Now that I have a completely open field I can let the creative juices flow.

As for now, I will be updating the website and the company image. Yeah, this is like the 2nd time, but the look now is old and ragged; I want to put the same polish that I had with some of my other projects that I worked on (and plus I’m an indie developer, this stuff happens). I hope to update the blog as often as I did before all of the other projects took over my time. If you want to see the other projects I worked on here are the links:

As always, any questions or comments or even concerns leave them in the comments below.
